The Meeting Place – a poem

Come on and rise
My sleepy one,
A quiet house does beckon

Come up and rise
O daughter of God,
Time for quiet reflection

For this hour
Is set aside
To be your secret place

Where you find
Strength in stillness,
Peace within My grace

So find yourself
A steaming cup
And a cozy chair

Open up your
Heart to Me
And I will meet you there

For if you want
To walk with Me,
Keep rhythm with My pace

That is found
By knowing Me
In our meeting place

Together we
Can change your world
A moment at a time

But that must grow
In secret where
Your heart meets with Mine

So come and rise
My dear one,
Come and meet with Me

And I will open
Up your heart
A set your spirit free!

“And He said to them, ‘Come away (with Me) by yourselves to a quiet place and rest a while.'”  Mark 6:31

This is perfect. I love it! “steaming cup, cozy chair, meeting place, stillness” all good ingredients for a special time with our heavenly Father.

Thank you, my friend! There’s nothing to compare with our time with the Father! We get our sense of identity, purpose, and strength to carry it out from our alone time with Him. Love to you!
