Twilight Zone

Twilight Zone
Ever have one of those days (or weeks or months) where it felt like you were in a mental twilight zone? Like something had come unplugged, refusing to move forward, and most attempts to focus fell flat?

I’ve experienced some times like that, and could not explain it at the time, but later, looking in life’s rear view mirror, I could see.

I could see that these times in my life have been used by God to give me space to process. They have been times of His working in my inner self while I sit with pen in hand, waiting for words to come, unaware of what is really going on.

It’s OK, ya know. It’s OK to have times like these. In coaching, there’s a wonderful event called a “purposeful pause” where you stop your learning or activity to allow your subconscious to catch up with your conscious mind.

Very fruitful, these times may feel like they are wasted in the twilight zone, but they actually pave the way forward. So the next time this happens to you, allow yourself the space to just rest.  Give yourself the gift of time to think without pressure.  The answers will come.

God is big and we are complicated and only He can lead us forward on the right path. Soon you will be able to see clearly and know the way ahead.

Proverbs 3:5-6 says,

Trust in the Lord with all your heart
    and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to him,
    and he will make your paths straight.

These are days we need a verse from God’s Word like this to hold in mind and ponder.  We need to know and believe He will clear the air and lead us on, right on time.

Walking in peace,
Robin

      That’s a temporary condition! What works for me? Rest in Him and wait. Declare clarity of thought and don’t let it sneak something passive in on you. Take small actions and celebrate them! We have great Kingdom things to do!!!
      You’re a blessing.
