Some of you may assume I just blog here because I’ve not met most of you. Yet. I started this blog in 2009, and then in 2013, I started this company: Sozo Life & Leadership. It’s a business of encouragement because…
Encouragement is breath to those who want to live a better story.
I accept invitations to speak and hold Refresher and Renewal Workshops. This service is offered to any size organization from a corporation to a church to a garden club – wherever people gather to fulfill a purpose together. I have found that everyone needs encouragement and every word we utter counts.
The right words can bring life to the weary and set them on their way. Isaiah 50:4 says, “The Sovereign Lord has given me His words of wisdom so that I know what to say to sustain the weary ones.” It’s these kinds of words that encourage – that give hope – that help us find the courage to live a better life.
The Greek word Sozo describes the life we are created to experience. A life that demonstrates renewal and restoration in every area of life and work. We are influenced by a culture of self-focus, yet when we are inspired with the big picture in mind, we come to appreciate the value that each one brings, and can come together to carry out more than we ever could alone.
Whether your organization is a corporation, small business, church, or civic group, what are your dreams and goals? You get one life so don’t be satisfied with ordinary, and don’t allow room for discouraged or mundane attitudes. Don’t be content to live a life someone else designed. Don’t be content to remain in a culture-driven or traditional box.
Be content to keep growing and changing, the way to fulfillment, to live the practices that flow from knowing your self-worth, from gratitude, from having assurance of what you bring that can bless others around you. If Michelangelo, at 87, can say these words, we need to become aware that we still can learn, grow, change our lives, and make an impact where we are.
I’ve been amazed at the response. You can see the list of happy clients and professional references on our Happy Clients page. To be able to encourage and make a difference in the lives of men and women, and then to see those individuals go on to use encouragement to build a better company, classroom, business, or church is rewarding.
